YM’S Caledonian League side continue to struggle in the Premier Division following another home defeat on Saturday losing 4-2 to defending Premier League Champions Thorn Athletic. YM have now played 8 league games winning 4 and losing 4 although Manager Graeme Robertson has been unable to field his strongest side in recent weeks as players have been unavailable with injuries, holidays, weddings, and one player representing Amateur Scotland in a competition in Greece. This game started brightly for YM with David Cameron heading them in front in the second minute with Craig Tocher adding a second after twenty minutes. Thorn equalised with two goals in quick succession just before the break and in a dominant second half scored twice to secure victory.

This Saturday YM welcome Aberdeenshire side Insch Amateurs in the 3rd Round of the “Scottish” to Kirktonholme Park kick off 2pm.
