East Kilbride Y.M’s Caledonian League side switched this match to 3g at the last minute because of the high winds and driving rain showers and they were rewarded with three league points.

Weirs keeper Smith had three good early saves from Ricky Orr, Martyn McLaughlin and Greg Hannah as YM pushed for an early opener but the opening two goals were to come at the other end.

First of all a speculative shot from 18 yards deceived the YM keeper ending in the net and worse was to follow as a low ball cut across goal was turned into the net by a YM defender and for the third game in a row YM found themselves two goals down.

Greg Hannah started the fight back with an 18yard shot that hit one upright and landed in the opposite corner of the net giving YM hope going in at the interval.

Ricky Orr scored two early second half goals putting YM in front and then super sub Alan McCrae entered proceedings to score three goals to illustrate why he is the Caledonian Leagues leading goal scorer.

A good fight back from YM ensuring the points stayed in East Kilbride.
